A Word from Andrei Fimine, President of SaunaSpa

At SaunaSpa, we build outdoor saunas for the Canadian way of life: real wood, real heat, fresh air and a space that feels entirely your own.

I remember going to the sauna with my parents. It was not a luxury, and it was not a trend. It was just part of life. A place to warm up, slow down, talk, recover, and feel human again.

That is still how I see sauna today. We all have busy lives. We work, train, take care of our families, and carry more stress than we sometimes admit. A good sauna gives you a way to step away from that for a while. It is simple, but it works. That is why heat rituals have been around for centuries, across so many cultures.

At SaunaSpa, we build outdoor saunas for the Canadian way of life: real wood, real heat, fresh air and a space that feels entirely your own. Our classic barrel sauna is still the iconic model, but we also build modern outdoor saunas for people who want something sharper, more architectural, and just as personal.

For me, this work is about building something that lasts. We take the best of European sauna tradition, Canadian outdoor living, and our own experience with cedar, heat, and winter. Then we use honest, old-fashioned craftsmanship to turn it into a sauna you can enjoy for years and admire from day one.

Today, sauna culture continues to evolve. Heat, recovery and cold plunging have become part of modern wellness, training, and athletic routines. That is why we are growing our research, development, and support for sports and wellness, from champion boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov to L’Oceanic de Rimouski junior hockey club that young Sidney Crosby played for.

I believe the sauna should never feel like a gimmick. It becomes part of your life. That is what we build at SaunaSpa.
